3. More than 50 percent of business to business, or B2B, marketers claim that search engine optimization has the largest influence on their lead generation. The majority of these leads come directly from a google search.

4. The link analysis algorithm that Google uses to rank the importance of results for a particular search is was named after of the cofounders of Google, Larry Page. The algorithm process, or PageRank, is is what SEO seeks to take advantage of by boosting some of the factors that contribute to higher ranking results.

With Google being so important and influential in the online marketing sphere of the internet, it is no surprise that spending time and money reworking a website to appear more important and attractive to the search engine has become to paramount.
